Woljeejii Agricultural Industry (WAI) is an Ethiopia based private enterprise. It is registered and licensed produce and distributes Effective Microorganism Technology, that is worldwide recognized as an organic soil fertility enhancing input, as livestock feed and nutrition improver and as input for environment correction and management. The company is also licensed to carry out poultry farm and produce animal feed with Investment permit EIA-IP 14518/07TIN 0004424572. This Company is founded by Ato Gedion shone Hailimariam, Dr. Jemal Mohammed Abdela, and Wro/ Tsion Alemayehu Kitata.
The core members of Woljeejii are professionals with wide range of experience in agriculture production, research, soil and water conservation, afforestation and rural development extension. Woljeejii also has strong international network that could facilitate ease of exchange of approaches, appropriate technologies and materials.
WAI works in partnership with Federal and Regional Governments, NGOs, and the private sector. Through a franchise system which it uses for the distribution of inputs, it creates employment and income generating opportunities to many citizens. Most importantly, it will contribute to the national economy by gradually substituting the highest foreign exchange consumer - chemical fertilizer and thereby contribute to the GREEN ECONOMIC DEVELOPEMNT for which Ethiopia is the forerunner in the continent.
